Dallas, June 9, 1860

[AUSTIN] STATE GAZETTE, June 9, 1860, p. 3, c. 2
copied from the Texas Civilian Yahoo list. Posted October 2007 by Vicki Betts.

Dallas.—The Herald tells us of a commercial house in Dallas which has already purchased 12,000 lbs. of wool of excellent quality.

They are grading the streets of Dallas.

There is a great demand for houses.

Farmers near Dallas are turning their attention to market gardening.
