Has anyone here had any experience in getting a newspaper reprinted using a place like Kinko's? We have the 1860 Austin State Gazette here at our library on microfilm. We have the equipment to make each page into a pdf. Can (or would) Kinko's take that pdf and print them onto oversize paper to make a four page reproduction? One large sheet of paper (not newsprint--period papers had high rag content), not using a printing press, of course, but as close as we could reasonably get nowadays. Has anyone tried this? How did it go?

Vicki ,
For what it worth I wouldn't even try Kinko's . It's a long story , but they typically will not do this type of thing .
Try finding a place that produces Blue Prints . I've had very good results using A & E down here in Houston . They work with PDF files all the time . I started using them a couple of years back when I was doing a stint as a Project Manager / Estimator . There a graphic artist place and they have no problem working with there customers . I have even done business with them and never set foot in the place . I called them on the phone and told them what I wanted , e-mailed the PDF to them and they shipped my order to me . He's a link
