sir Being one of those who took part in the War of 1812 particularly one who was at the Burning of fort Malden and the
invasion of Canada under Shelby and Harrison in 1814 and in the Battle of Moravian town where we defeated proctor and killed tecumpsia I am aware that in case of an Invasion of our soil by the Northern vandals that a ninety days Expedition would be of infinite servis to our cause if you should think so we will organise as such and can reach galveston in six days after receiving orders We are anxious to take part in Defense of our Country when fighting is inevitable We do not wish to
lay in Camps if you should think that such service will be needed Just Drop me a few lines at this office and We will be ready to march for your place in the hour.
yours verry respectfully
