I came across the following in a deed from Nacogdoches County dated 1858. The spelling of the names appear to keep changing throughout the document. I've also added a scan of the document so you can try deciphering for yourself.

Vol. N, Page 198. Nacogdoches County. Deed for the sale of slaves, August 19, 1858.

Whereas Antonio Lazanen, Francisco Lazanen and Euginio Lazanen all of said county by the deed dated March the [illegible] 1857 recorded in Book M page 480 of record of Deeds for said County did bargain sell convey deliver to James R Arnold also of said County three certain negro slaves therein named to wit: Peter aged about 18 years and Wilie & Rains [?] aged about 9 years all slaves for life and warranted sound in body and mind for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars acknowledged to have been received by them from the said James R Arnold therefore we [LeAna, Louana, Lovana?] Martines & Manuel Martines her husband now in consideration of the premises afore said and the further sum one dollar to us in had paid by the said James R Arnold we Manuael Martines & L [?] Martines his wife both of said county do hereby sell, transfer and deliver to the said James R. Arnold his heirs executors [?], administrators and assigns all the right title interest and claim that we have or may have in and to the aforesaid negro slaves to wit Peter Wilie and Rivers [?] conveyed as aforesaid by the said Antonio Francisco and Euginio Lazanen to the said James R Arnold on the said 2nd day of March AD 1859. To have and to hold all the right, title, interest, and claim that we have, or may have in and to the above named negro slaves to wit Peter Wilie & River to him the said James R. Arnold his heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony [illegible] of one the said Manuel Martines and Leoana Martines his wife have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals using [illegible] on this the 19th day of August AD 1858.
Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of

Leoana Lazanen [x her mark] y Martinez
Personally appeared before me the undersigned authority Manul Martenez and Leoana Lozanen y Martinez wife of said Manuel [illegible] of whom are to me well known, and they each of them acknowledged that they subscribed and executed the foregoing instrument of writing for the purposes and considerations therein stated, and the said Lavana Lazarin having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband and having the same fully explained to her she acknowledged the same to be her act and deed, and stated that she had willingly signed sealed and delivered the same and wished not to retract it.
