By the title, this sounded pretty good; however, it is mostly about the authors arrival and life in Texas in the 1920s and 30s. Great read though for that time period! Intermixed with this though is some details about her husband's g-g-grandfather's arrival in Texas. She never does state the location, calling it Hill Country Village, but based on some other references in the book it appears she is around Kerrville.

Also included is a letter from a Von Rosenburg family member describing the trip over.
