Would Wheatland, Texas have sent their mail thru Dallas?

I'm not that familiar with the details of Dallas County geography,
but you might check the list of post offices at -
http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~jwheat/dallas.html
and if you can find a post office any closer to Wheatland that was
active in 1860, the mail might have gone through there instead of
Dallas. Otherwise, it was probably Dallas.
