The latest edition of this online publication includes an article on the Star of the West society and the living history events they put together. Not only does the society put on the Boonesfield Village events but they also coordinate other 19th century living activities such as period picnics and socials in the St. Louis area. It's a great piece on developing living history activities and a "neighborhood" of living historians. You do have to subscribe to the publication to read the full article.
