Just received a photo of a military headstone for Pvt Joseph Thompson of Alf Johnsons Texas Spy Co. Nov. 1 1831 Oct 1 1863.

I've never heard of the spy company; kinda intriguing. Might be an interesting impression for Henkel Square .

Unfortunately, I don't think they ever saw central Texas. The company was raised in Collin County and served in Arkansas between Little Rock and the Mississippi River. I think I ran into them mentioned in Little Rock newspapers.

Vicki Betts

Bummer. the cemetery was in Collin Co. so that makes sense.
