The 14th Cotton and Rural History Conference is this Saturday, April 17, 9:30-1:30 in Greenville, Texas, at the Audie Murphy / American Cotton Museum. The keynote talk will be by State Historian Light Cummins on "The Austin Family and the Foundations of Cotton Culture in Antebellum Texas." Registration is $10 and includes a barbecue lunch.
