The Lawrence T. Jones III Texas Photographs digital collection contains a wide range of early Texas photography. The digitized images are from the Lawrence T. Jones III Texas Photography Collection, which contains 5,000 photographs, ca. 1846-1945, and is held by SMU's DeGolyer Library.

There is one from 1865-1867 with a crowd and a fire wagon in Houston. If you zoom in to the stores to the right you see a bunch of women in slat bonnets and aprons.

You can zoom up really close and get some great images of the clothing of the men and women.
